For DeepSurface to interface with Tenable.sc APIs, you will need to enter some Tenable.sc account information into the appropriate configuration screen in DeepSurface. The account will need appropriate access to list and export all applicable scan result files from Tenable.sc but does not require access to run scans or change configuration settings. Consider creating a dedicated account within Tenable.sc solely for this purpose.
If you don't have a user with your desired authorization then first do the following step: Step 1 - Create a new user in Tenable.sc. See the instructions here.
Now, in DeepSurface navigate to Scanning > Settings > Vulnerability Scanners. Click on the '+ Vulnerability Scanner' and you will see something similar to the following.
Select the tool you wish to add. In this case, select SecurityCenter/Tenable.sc API. You will see a pop-up editor form as shown below.
In the form, enter the following:
Your authorized Tenable.sc Hostname,
Your Tenable.sc Username, and
Your Tenable.sc Password.
As the help message says, please ensure the Tenable.sc hostname matches the fully qualified domain name that appears on the Tenable.sc server's HTTPS certificate.
Consider creating a dedicated account within Tenable.sc solely for this purpose. The account will need appropriate access to list and export all applicable scan result files but does not require access to run scans or change configuration settings.
